Do Not Sell
Do Not Sell or Share My Info
Last updated: 2026-08-22
The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information comes from California’s CCPA/CPRA and from similar laws in a growing number of US states. This page covers how it works here.
What Triggers This Right
- What actually happens: no data is sold for money, but where advertising is served on makergrain.com, advertising partners may receive cookie or device identifiers. State privacy laws define ‘sale’ and ‘sharing’ broadly enough that this may be caught, so we offer an opt-out rather than take a narrow view.
- This holds for all readers of makergrain.com, whether they have interacted with us or not.
Effect of Your Choice
After an opt-out, advertising identifiers are no longer shared for targeted advertising. Ads may still be served, but generically. You lose nothing else: no content is withheld and no part of the site is restricted as a result.
Ways to Opt Out
To exercise the right: enable Global Privacy Control in your browser (honoured automatically, no message needed); or refuse advertising cookies via the consent banner where shown; or send an email to hello@makergrain.com with the subject ‘Do Not Sell or Share’. We will not ask you to create an account to do this.
This is one right among several; the rest are in our State Privacy Notice.
